Whitewater Photography
I started whitewater kayaking as a teenager growing up in West Virginia, frequently paddling the New, Cheat, Gauley, and Yaugh until I moved to Boston in 2009.
I'm now a member of the Boston Chapter of the AMC, and I still paddle the Dagger RPM I bought over 25 years ago.
I have also always loved taking pictures of whitewater, and always have my trusty camera with me when I'm paddling so I never miss a shot.

Make a Splash
Whether you are into playboating, sending steep creeks, running big water, or just out for a fun time on some class I-II rivers, I can get epic photos of you on the water. The same brightly colored equipment that helps keep us safe also turns you into a vibrant subject against the beautiful scenery of the river. From the Deerfield to the Kennebec, I photograph all of New Englands best whitewater locations. Kayaks, canoes, and inflatables large and small - all boats are beautiful!Getting the Hard Shots
Whitewater can be some of the most challenging locations to photograph. Difficult to reach locations mean paddling, hiking, or even rappelling to get to the right spot. Harsh direct sunlight reflecting off the water, and deep shadows cast by trees make for worst case scenario lighting. The relentless and unforgiving pace of the water results in moments so fast if you blink you miss the shot. Thousands of dollars in camera equipment being used in a high risk environment. I do it all, I am confident that I am up to your challenge.
